OCTOBER 20 The office around Juliette was empty, save for her and her two kids. Waya was teaching a class or doing something Waya-y she was sure, but she was content to sit and wait for her giant of a father-in-law to return. He'd have to come back to his office at some point right? Plus, there wasn't much in here that could get her kids into trouble so she could let them roam a bit more freely. Bright blue eyed Dahlia was at the moment pulling out one of the numerous Arithmancy books and turning the pages. The young girl would nod her head as if she understood the words and diagrams before her. Four was running back and forth between things as fast as his year and a half old legs could carry him, squealing in delight when he found something shiny. Juliette for her own part was lounging on the giant chair at the desk. A small box sat in front of her, the obvious smells of a baked good coming from it. Her clothes were starting to become tighter around her burgeoning belly as her third kid kicked and moved about. Dark hair was pulled back from her face as she kept an eye on her little monsters. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

sweet like sugar venom You would think that Elsa would have been content after seeing the mountain of a professor the first time, but no. She was drawn to him. She’d spent the weekend talking to Antonio about it, and the sly little silver fox kept teasing her about being “thirsty” or whatever the kids were calling it these days. Regardless, Elsa was intrigued. Waya kept sneaking in to her daily thoughts and moments, distracting her during her conferences and meetings with her accountants, attorneys, and other persons involved in her businesses. She had her hands in many different pots, and wasn’t close to slowing down despite the sudden responsibility of two teenagers.
It had been how long since she’d last seen the man? A week or so? Maybe longer? It didn’t matter. It had been too long. The Veela was thirsty, and Waya was the only thing to quench her thirst.
Moving down the familiar hallway toward his office, Elsa smirked at the memory of the last time she was in this room. Sliding one manicured hand to the door, she opened it up and stepped in; a seductive smirk painted across her merlot lips just as her kohl-lined eyes landed on the unfamiliar woman behind the desk. A sharp squeal to her right caused her to flinch and look down; icy eyes widening in surprise at the child that looked an awful lot like her southern lover.
Raising an eyebrow in extreme curiosity, Elsa’s attention shifted to the pregnant woman behind the desk again.
”Excuse me,” came the barely contained polite surprise. ”I was just looking for Professor…” Shit, what was his last name again? ”Alexander.” Phew. Thank you, memory. ”Any idea when he’ll be returning?”
She hovered in the doorway; uncertain on coming in. She had a few clarifying questions she needed to ask Waya first. Like why the hell there was a mini-him clanging a couple of shiny objects together by his bookshelf.

OCTOBER 20
Holy hell her father-in-law could sure take his damn time. Didn't she text him that she was stopping by? Pulling out her phone she looked and...no. No she did not. Ah well, surprise then. He loved surprises. She opened the lid to the small box before closing it. If he didn't hurry she was going to eat the small cake.
And then the door opened and she let out a sigh of relief.... Only to instantly narrow her eyes at the unfamiliar person.
If there was one thing the American girl was not good at, it was being any sort of trusting. Sure, maybe after she knew a person for awhile. But at first? Nope. And with her kids around? Hell no. While she wasn't a helicopter parent and allowed her kids to figure out their own shit, there was no way she let new people around them without a rather obvious narrowing of her brown eyes.
And then the allure hit her and she couldn't help but stare.
The clanging to the side helped her shake her head of it, but it was even more unsettling and new people already set her on edge. It sort of reminded her of something she'd heard about with a younger student back at Ilvermorny, but she hadn't paid it much mind and so had no idea what the problem had actually been. Now she was thinking maybe she should have paid a little bit more attention.
"Tall, dark, and broody?" Her New Orleans upbringing still accented her words as she spoke. "Hopefully soon so he can deal with these devils for a bit." The clanging was going to give her a headache. "Who're you?" Did it come out a bit defensive and snippy? Yes, yes it did. Juliette couldn't help the way she was though.
And then the sound of something breaking made her jump up. Four had managed to pull down something without her realising it. Dahlia didn't even budge in her 'reading'.
"Mason Waya Alexander!" Her tone held all sorts of not nice promises as she grabbed her son and smacked his hand before picking him up and away from the mess as she scolded him. "Ki sa ki t 'mwen di ou sou pitye ak bagay ki pa pou ou? Papaw a pwal fache."
Although she knew Waya wouldn't really be upset. Setting the crying boy down she pulled out her wand and waved it at the broken object, fixing it. A sigh came from her mouth as she looked at her kids. At least for once Dahlia was sitting still?
And then she remembered the blonde stranger. Had the woman told her her name? She'd gotten a bit distracted.

sweet like sugar venom Elsa’s eyes danced between the woman and the two little ones; having already noted the baby bump clearly swollen beneath the girl’s T-shirt. The little boy looked so much like Waya that Elsa absolutely knew that the boy was related if not simply outright Waya’s own. But that, if it were the case, would make this woman his, what? Girlfriend…? Her eyes fell down to her hand and noticed the ring.
With a purse of her lips, Elsa realized that she may in fact have be, unintentionally, the mistress.
As she asked who Elsa was, the Veela was momentarily stunned. What did she say? Though she had been with married men before, and had an open marriage herself in the past, those had been special circumstances. This had no communication, she was pretty positive by the state of the woman that their marriage was not a loveless one. Was there an understanding between them? Did Waya have a history and this woman’s short tone was due to suspicion?
Before, when she had first met Waya at the Benefit and then later, here, in this very room, well… Elsa had noticed the ring but had been so distracted by her desire for him. She internally raked herself over the coals as she tried to come up with something of an answer that would neither incriminate herself or Waya when the miniature version of him knocked something off the shelf.
She jumped and looked over at him, all at once thankful for the distracted and extra time to think of an answer and even more heartbroken over the thought that Waya had not only lied to her, but to this poor mother as well.
Exhaling slowly, Elsa steeled herself and then lifted her gaze back to the woman. She stepped inside and shut the door behind her; opting for this to be a more private confession.
”My name is Elsa.”
Lifting her arms up, she crossed them a bit defensively over her chest but turned to face the music anyway.
”I’m… sorry. I did not realize Waya was married, or had children.” Shaking her head, she blew out a soft sigh as her gaze dropped to the crying child in his mother’s lap.

OCTOBER 20
Four was still crying over getting in trouble as the blonde woman spoke. Elsa? Hadn't heard of her. Granted, she didn't sit and gossip Waya’s life with Mason anyways and Waya never really mentioned people he worked with. Juliette's knees bounced the boy as she looked the woman over.
”He wears a ring. That kinda goes with the married thing.” Her tone was brisk as she ran her fingers through her son’s hair. It was kind of sweet, she thought, that he still wore his ring even though Sophia had died long ago. She hoped if anything ever happened to her,Mace would do the same. ”Yeah, two. Nightmares, the both of them.”. Nah, she loved Calista and Mace was practically her whole world.
It never dawned on the dark haired girl that Elsa thought she was married to Waya or that Dahlia and Four might appear to be his kids. The thought was so far from her mind. She assumed the woman's slight defensive position was in response to her own standoffish nature. Which didn't bother her one bit.
But she didn't like how the woman closed the door. Dark eyes narrowed at her. ”What do you need then?” The question was just as guarded, even as she smacked her son's hand for trying to get at the cake.
