The Soteria and Sylvanus are one of the most ancient bloodlines around. They have kept themselves pure by bringing in not muffles but Veela to their bloodline. One such woman was the homeless Yi Mei. The Eastern Veela had heard rumors of the Soteria family's kindness, so she found herself on their doorstep. With wicked smiles and pretty words they lured her inside. Yi Mei was not seen after that, but her daughter was. Alissa Soteria was raised as one of their own and in time was promised to the heir of Sylvanus: Oran.
But, the witch balked at the idea of an arranged marriage. She spent as little time around her adoptive family as possible and instead traveled the globe or to friends when she was not in class. And once she graduated, Alissa knew that she would not be able to avoid returning to the Soteria... Until she claimed the position of librarian. .
