WAY BACK WHEN...
[ HISTORY ]
I grew up in the heart of London, it wasn't like we didn't have money, it was more that my mother didn't know how to spend it wisely. We started out on the streets until she got picked up by someone, so really I was particularly cared for by numerous filthy people. She was the right hand to some pimp and here I was... not even one year old and surrounded by people that I had grown to call my family. Looking back now, it wasn't fun at all. We didn't have one place to live and she was always out. There were a few other kids, but I was too busy with my nose in a book to get to know them. She could have taken a job as a teacher, or even a ministry worker, but instead my mother preferred to earn her money as she sold her body.
Soon when I turned about five or six, we finally got an apartment. Again, she was hardly home, and still is so I had to quickly learn how to fend for myself. Isn't that called survival of the fittest? Constantly I was at the library, learning and reading, especially sci-fi. When I turned eleven I was surprised. A letter from Hogwarts came and low and behold my mother then decided to tell me that we were magical. I didn't know my grandparents or anything, so who the hell knows. Turns out I am a Lestrange through marriage, but hell. It's not like I know any of them and to be honest, I'd rather not at this point. They didn't help me, so why the hell should I help them in turn?
While I attended school, I was quick to learn and pick up this new world that I was thrust into. So much so that when I hit my third year, the Academy came calling and offered to pick me up if I could pass an entrance exam. Every student was different. I remember Kasch telling me this, but if I could pass the exams at thirteen years old I would be accepted. Needless to say that explains why I'm only sixteen years old and now working on an entrance thesis for the department of mysteries. What can I say? I love sci-fi.
