FACELESS FAQ
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What are the Faceless?
The Faceless are a group of witches and wizards who are seeking to make monumental changes in the wizarding world.
Are they evil like Death Eaters?
Not at all. The Faceless are more or less morally grey or neutral.
What do they believe in? What drives them?
The Faceless believe in a non restricted, and free wizardng world in many senses. They believe magical restriction is stunting the wizarding world, and preventing progress.
That fear and superstition of the Dark Arts will cause more trouble in the long run, people to be free to explore and ask questions, and learn about the Dark Arts to better defend themselves against it.
They believe that the wizarding world should, over time of course, combine with the muggle world, to share their advances through magic, an example being our abilities in healing and medicine.
They believe in the freedom of information, and an uncorrupt leadership. One where the truth is what goes out instead of a twisted or safe version of the truth.
Studying Dark Artifcats and Objects rather than hiding them away or destroying them out of irrational fear of the dangerous or unknown.
They believe that spell creation and alchemy should not be frowned upon or punished, but rather encouraged. They stand for encouraging magical potential rather than stifling it with rules and regulations.
Do they have a leader?
Yes, they do. Elijah Whitlock is the creator and leader of the Faceless, though that fact is known to very, very few. Avona Ivanovich is more or less his second in command, for lack of better phrasing.
How do I join the Faceless?
As long as it is not your first character, you can app for a faceless, which will have to be approved only by Armageddon or Vel. Once you are approved and accepted, you may be tagged in a thread with either Elijah or Avona where you will be canonically accepted by them into the folds.
Why so much trouble and information to be a Faceless?
Because the Faceless are part of a grand scale plot that will take place through a rather long stretch of time, sometimes the main plot, other times a background plot. The reason for all of this is because with such a lengthy plot and it being part of the Main Plot, we need active characters in the Faceless. People who will be online often enough and not disappear after a few weeks of being on the site. We wouldn't be so anal if it wasn't important XD
So, if the Faceless are morally grey, or kind of the good guys, does that mean the Ministry are the bad guys in this?
It honestly all depends on your point of view. If you believe that the Ministry is right to have its rules, regulations, and restrictions, than you belong applying for the ministry. If you fall in the beliefs that the Faceless have, than you belong with them.
This plot was designed to have no true good or bad people, but to be open to the interpretation of you and your characters.
In the potterverse, Death Eaters and Order Members, there was a clear cut line, an obviousness to who were good and who were bad. With this it is purely individual points of view as far as alignment, and the lines between what is right or wrong are significantly muddied.
