Because of how many masquerade threads will be done, how many plots are tied around the masquerade, and the time it will take for all of those things to get started, threaded out, and finished before the next month roll over, the Masquerade board will be up through the month of October. NOTE. The Masquerade takes place on Halloween. The very end of October. LITERALLY THE LAST DAY OF OCTOBER.
THAT SAID...
None of your posts on the rest of the board can have any event that takes place in the masquerade as canonically already happened. All post Masquerade threads may only be done AFTER we roll over into November. Which means if you have threads on the board for the middle of October, there can't be anything in there about so and so getting beat up, or blah blah getting shitfaced at the Ball.
Because it hasn't happened.

THAT ALSO BEING SAID.
While the Event is a big focal point, I don't want to see the rest of the board abandoned for only masquerade threads. Unless a character was comatose during the entirety of October and only woke up in time for the Ball, there should be in character threads spanned across October. There should be awkward asking your date to the ball threads and...girlie..dress shopping and...such. October can not be just masquerade threads.
Because you will make me sad.
Very sad.
