If she had to hear about dresses or the ball, or anymore high pitched giggling, Jo was going to lose her mind. 'What are you wearing? Who did you ask? Oh my gosh he asked you?' It was like nails on a chalkboard.
"Hey Johanna, who are you going to the ball with?"
She knew it was intended to be good natured and a friendly question, but seriously, she was so sick about hearing about the godforsaken ball she wanted to pull her own teeth with a rust ice skate. "Oh, I'm going with the Dark Lord Satan. See all I have to do is sacrifice a virgin before midnight with a ritual dagger and I'm all set. So, any of you still have your cherries intact? Cause it's getting pretty hard to find one. Like oh em gee, you would not believe how annoying it is." she looked at the gaggle of girls completely deadpan until they quickly scattered out of the common room.
"And finally, there was peace in the lands." she mumbled, sighing contentedly as she leaned back against the couch and pulled her book back out. "Stupid ball. I hope someone goes all Carrie, then I'll go." she talked to herself as she read.

Given the turn of events with Rhett, Hayden had a suit and no idea what the hell to do with it. Sure he could ask someone if they wanted to go, but it was just going to feel empty. As he watched the girls fleeing the common room as he was just entering it, there happened as sense of wonder as to what the fuck happened. That was when he rounded the corner and say Johanna Westhaven. A smirk playing on his lips as he dropped his hockey gear down on the floor.
"Stupid ball. I hope someone goes all Carrie, then I'll go."
He wasn't able to hold back the small chuckle as it came out and he flopped down on the couch on the other end. "If you want we could go and Carrie the scream queen. No one would know it's us." This was some weird way of going about and asking her to the dance. Even if it didn't work out they could just go as friends and it would be fun. Spilling blood all over someone was definitely high in his marks.

Jo couldn't help but jump as she felt the flop beside her and she looked over with a smirk. He was certainly speaking her language, whether he meant to or not. "Well, I have to say I'm against any pig slaughter involved, but if you don't mind a trip to the kitchens for some diy blood creativity, then it's a date." she laughed, though the tone did show she wasn't joking about it or blowing him off.
Honestly, if he could handle that and wreaking havoc on whatever poor girl happened to be the Scream Queen, he could be worth her time. She didn't know all too much about Hayden, well, save for that whole breakup thing, but he was cute, and no one else had been ballsy enough to ask her for fear of...well, Jo being Jo. "Make sure to wear something dark. Splatter is hard to hide, hockey boy."

"I didn't say we were going to slaughter a pig. I mean we could. There is enough room outside in the forge to roast it over a pit, but we can definitely make some. On that you're right." Hayden relaxed back into the couch a little and looked over to her. Johanna Westhaven and Hayden Rowley were going to recreate Carrie, and it was going to be miraculous.
Wear black. Done. He could very easily do that. "Of course, but at the same time, what is the fun in hiding the splatter? Perhaps I'll wear black, or perhaps I'll find something else to wear. What happens if we're picked? What if you're the scream queen? Do I still follow though. I think you would be disappointed if I didn't."

"We could, but I reserve all my slaughtering for Christmas time. It's a tradition. Besides, pigs are cute." she smirked. She was surprised at his coolness over the situation. Most of the time, unless it was one of her brothers, this type of talk got her some really odd looks and then her company mysteriously had somewhere else to be.
"Well if we show up already covered in blood it'll give us away, since everyone is taking the pretty route of Halloween because of the ball." she laughed at shook her head at the thought. Her, as Scream Queen. While it would be amusing she was more than certain one of the reigning drama queens was going to be up there, all the more reason for the Carrie blood bath.
"If by some freakish chance we are picked, you had better follow through anyway or I'll lose all respect for you. We're talking epic proportions of disappointment."

Johanna was unlike any other girl he had ever met in his entire life. She was fucking hilarious to boot, and she didn't really give a shit what people thought of her. Given that she lived with four brothers, she had a shell like no other. Or rather she fit in with them perfectly. "I will give you that. Should think about getting a micro pig. Name him General Custer or something." Hayden gave her a smile and shrugged.
"That's the last thing I want. I'd rather you be pissed at me for smoothering you in blood, rather than disappointed in me that I didn't do it. Too bad you can't start heatless fires. Is that a thing? Lighting people on fire without actually burning them? That would be sick." Hayden glanced over to her with a smile. "So, it's a date then?"
