Saturday October 1st Saturday nights at the bar were always the busiest. It had been three years that he’d worked here. Noah had been the only guy willing to give him a shot with his record, and he’d been a hard worker for the old man ever since. He treated the bar like his own, and ran it like it was, too. He saved every penny he made beyond what he had to spend to live, also. Noah was getting up in age. The old man was well into his seventies and with him being a muggle and all… Landon didn’t expect he’d be holding onto the bar for too much longer. All he needed was a couple more thousand, and a moment to approach Noah about the possibility of buying the place from him. That wasn’t coming tonight, though. Not with these crowds. It was a little past 10 pm, and the night was just starting to pick up despite the already full house. The snow outside was deterring no one. Landon made his rounds; moving from one end of the bar to the other. His regulars received what they always ordered with friendly nods and winks. He knew what they liked, and their limits. He wasted no time making sure their glasses were never empty or once they were they were refilled with something lacking alcohol. And no one complained, because they knew Landon was protective of his bar and his people inside. He took care to make sure no one got so drunk that they were belligerent. Making his way down the line, Landon took orders and prepared drinks and punched food needs into the new computer system for the kitchen in the back. He made his job look effortless until one blonde boy caught his attention at the end of the bar. Landon smirked, his green eyes barely grazing over the familiar face before he finished up his current orders and then made his way down the bartop nonchalantly. ”I was wonderin’ if y’were gonna show up tonight,” Landon said with a smirk; starting to make the Manhatten without skipping a beat. Setting it down in front of him, he plopped two cherries inside with a wink. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Saturday October 1st It was silly of him to go to the bar on a Saturday. Kingston knew his boyfriend would be working. Busiest day of the week. It almost stopped him. But he hadn't been able to spend much time with him the last month since school started. Weekends were the most free time he had. With schoolwork and Landons schedule it was hard. But he made sure to at least see him once a week. He wished it was more. But they hadn't really talked about it. And they had certainly made the time together well worth it. If anything they put it to the best use. So Kingston did what he usually did on weekends and left the school to find his boyfriend at work. He saw him as soon as he walked in the place, eyes instinctively trained on the bar. That gorgeous face was hard to ignore. Kingston waited, his arms crossed on the bar in front of him, as Landon served patrons ahead of him. Just admiring him and thinking about how lucky he was that someone like Landon liked him. " Wouldn't miss a Saturday here." The grin that spread across his face when he set the drink down in front of him was hard to contain as he pretended to be coy. It wasn't easy to do with those eyes looking down at him, But he could try. Giving up his own game, he continued, " And I missed seeing your face."template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Saturday October 1st Landon took extra time with Kingston when he was here. He couldn’t help himself. It had been that way since he’d first met the guy. He’d known from a young age that he liked men, but it wasn’t something he advertised with rainbows and purple in his life. His siblings knew, he thought, but it wasn’t something he really outright said ever. One of those things that just sort of… happened and was known. The last time Gregori had updated him on how the younger two were doing they spoke a little about ‘anything new’, and Landon had admitted he’d met someone new. A guy that he liked. It was the closest thing Landon ever did to having a grand ol’ coming out and it was probably going to be that way up until the day he married - if that ever happened. So as the other patrons sipped on their libations or glanced down the way to see Landon resting his weight forward on the bar top as he smirked at the curly-haired kid, they paid no mind. It was a busy evening, but Landon was attentive. He balanced the needs of many with ease, and he wasn’t alone tonight. Saturdays never had a lone bartender behind the top unless something was going horribly wrong. Draping his rag over his shoulder he gave Kingston that half-cocked smile as he tried to play it nonchalant. That was one thing he really liked about Kingston: he couldn’t hide his excitement very well. Landon found it innocent, and wanted to shield it so he never lost it. ”Is that so?” Landon teased; completely able to play that coy role. He raised an eyebrow questioningly and then glanced over his shoulder as a regular shouted a hello. He grinned and nodded; raising a hand in a short wave before holding up two fingers in question. When the guy nodded, Landon turned and smirked back down at Kingston as he pushed off the bar top and stepped back to begin making a drink for the other patron. ”It’s too bad you can’t come by on a Wednesday then.”He knew Kingston was busy, and he absolutely wasn’t trying to make him feel guilty for only coming around on the weekends. He knew he had classes at some fancy school during the week and was only around these parts on the weekends. He wasn’t complaining. Just poking a little fun. Setting the fresh drink down near the well, he gestured toward the table as the waitress came by and snatched them up without hesitation. A well oiled machine. That’s the type of bar Landon ran. ”You know, I’m a bit over staffed tonight. What are you doing in an hour?”That’s right. Landon liked to pretend that he didn’t already know Kingston’s answer. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Saturday October 1st School was an unfortunate necessity that Kingston had to endure. He enjoyed it to the best he could. But he would have preferred to spend his days leisurely in Landons bed. Maybe not so leisurely. If he were allowed to skip schooling entirely and become Landons slave....His mind was wandering. Something about looking into the other mans eyes made that happen. He helped him forget the stresses of life. Though really he wouldn't have minded if Landon chained him to his bedpost and had his way with him. Or just cuddled him and gave him reaffirming praises. He just wanted to be around him. Even if it was just on the weekends when he could get away from the school. Landon made him happy. " Why, do you wear pink on wednesdays?" He couldn't help the snirk that escaped. Whether or not Landon got the reference was to be decided but he moved on. Saturday October 1st Smirking, Landon shook his head at the younger guy and moved to start prepping more garnishes for the night. ”Well I wouldn’t want to bail you up but my bed was pretty cold last night…”Glancing at him sideways, he couldn’t help the grin that filled his lips as he looked over Kingston sitting at the end of his bar being playful. ”And on Wednesdays we’re in the nuddy, ya bastard.”Winking, he turned and began to spend the rest of the hour expertly balancing the needs of the many and making sure Kingston was taken care of. The guy knew well enough by now that ‘bastard’ was a term of endearment from the aussie. By the time the hour was up, Landon’s backup had arrived and he was making sure all the loose ends were tied before he came out from the back with his jacket on and clapped his boyfriend on the shoulder and pulled him up against his chest. There was no grandiose display of affection, but the look in Landon’s eye as he studied Kingston face was well read enough. ”Ready to shoot through?”@kingston template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Saturday October 1st
" Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend like I'm in a foreign country when you speak." Kingston propped his chin up on his hand and made the best doe eyes he could at the older man. Teasing, of course. He had a good idea what he'd meant and he wasn't complaining about the image in his head. But it didn't stop him from teasing. It also didn't help that he was technically in a foreign country.... He spend the next hour going through his phone absently. Sipping on the drink he'd been given with his phone in the opposite hand. His eyes did glance up to follow the gorgeous bartender around every so often. The hour seemed to take days, but eventually Landon wandered off to grab his things and Kingston slid a tip across the table before standing. He fixed his coat and put his phone away just as an arm went around his shoulder and pulled him close. The grin on his face matched the look in his boyfriends eyes. " Whatever you say."
On occasion when his boyfriend was being particularly Aussie, he liked to make the twang in his own voice a little more dramatic. This being one of those occasions. Outfittemplate by Sammy @ Adox 2.0
