It was nice outside. It was still the beginning of the school year so professors hadn't packed on the homework just yet. There were no exams coming up. And best of all, it was the the weekend so she didn't have to worry about classes. All of that should equal her trying to spend some time outside, enjoying the fresh air and all that nature has to offer. That absolutely does not appeal to her
Instead, here she was, curled up in her house's common room on the couch with a good book in her hand. A good muggle paranormal romance novel to be exact. She loved being a voyeur on other people falling in love and being happy. It was funny, most of the things in the muggle novels were real in one way or another. Maybe not exactly how they pictured it but definitely real. Her eyes were glued to the pages and, instead of speed reading like she did most material, she was taking the words in and reading them slowly to immerse herself in the emotion of the book. She was just getting to the good part of the book, the part where the guy confesses his love to the woman somehow and then goes off into some battle that might end up getting him hurt.
She re-positioned herself on the couch, laying down as she continued to read. The sound of the common room doors opening caught her attention though she didn't want to take her eyes away from the book. She did lose her focus and listened as the footsteps entered the common area. IF it was one of her housemates, she hoped they wouldn't mind the fact that she was taking up an entire couch. If they did she would curl up once again but she wasn't leaving the couch until she finished the book.
