Atticus was in the Room of Requirement, the room tailored to him filled with equipment, and structures for illusion and magic, posters of the greats, and in the middle of it all stood him, and a dummy. The dummy was wearing a mass of clothing and accessories, and was lined with hair trigger sensors, that buzzed when disturbed. This was how he practiced.
Doing his usual movements of distraction with one hand, while carefully but swiftly removing things off the dummy with the other, there was only silence. The boy had gotten far beyond adept at the talent. already he had a quarter of the things that he had set in the various pockets and on the dummy itself. Trinkets, jewelry, articles of clothing. Not a single buzz.
Until of course he heard the door scrape the stones as it opened, making him jolt, his hand bumping the dummy and a dull buzz sounding through the room. Sighing, Atticus turned around, looking the intruder over. "A knock might've been nice. Or you could have waited until someone wasn't in here. Maybe coughed a little outside the door. You know. Social niceities before sneaking up on a person?" granted he also could have locked the door but he wasn't about to take the blame for it.

"Social niceties aren't really my style." Kennedy responded as he walked into the room, not bothering to look the other boy in the face. His gaze was instead on the dummy set up in the room. It was an interesting set up, he had to admit. He'd heard a bit about Kane's activites, but he hadn't paid it much mind. They weren't really friends, having hardly spoken during their schooling. But why not try something new?
"Am I not welcome, Kane? Isn't that a social nicetie you should observe? Welcoming your guest." Stepping up to the dummy, he slid a hand across one of the items, setting off the buzz. It echoed in the room and he turned back to look at Atticus. Meeting his eyes this time with his own. "Would you like me to leave?"

"So I see. No, no . By all means, invade." he waved his hands as he mumbled, turning and pulling the items he'd nicked off of himself and placing them back about the dummy before turning back to him. They'd never really spoken, or..acknowledged each other much at all really. There was never any reason to and they rarely crossed paths anyway. Which was why he was finding it a little odd that he was there and... not leaving.
"Well, the room let you in so I suppose I'm not really the host in this situation. So, as acting voice of the room, welcome." he bowed dramatically, and stood back up at the buzz, shooing him away from the dummy. "Don't touch that. You'll upset the sensors and then I would have to...well not kill you, but maim you at the very least. Or..lock you in a trunk or something. he raised a brow as the other boy finally made eye contact and shrugged lightly. "Well you're already here. What would be the point?"

Surveying the room he nodded to what the other boy had to say. He hadn't actually planned on leaving. Otherwise he wouldn't have gone to the room of requirements in the first place. It wasn't the only thing he had planned for the day, but he had figure now was the best time as any. "So word in the dorm is you're a fan of slight of hand." He nodded to the dummy. "And word seems to have it right." There was very little that didn't get around the Ophichus commons as far as gossip went. Most of it was useful.
"I've come to see if you wanted to play some games."

If they were oblivious enough to fall for it, they can deal with the consequences."Atticus had a penchant for targeting the Ophi kids. He liked watching them be all holier than though while having no idea he had a pocket full of their shit. They always got the angriest over it too. Flipping out in the halls and all that. Atticus always found it to be most enjoyable.
Games? Well that had certainly gotten his attention, and he looked back to him with a raised brow and obvious interest. "What sorts of games do you have in mind?"

The students in his house definitely deserved it. Every last one of the deserved it. Even the innocent ones. They deserved it for not playing along. As far as Kennedy was concerned they were all free game. And ophi on ophi crime was up the roof. None of them could be trusted. "Like I give a shit about them. And I'd love to play checkers." He snorted, kicking back in a chair along the wall.
"I had more along the lines of getting behind enemy lines and destroying them from the inside out. That sort of game. Make someones life miserable...break up couples...that sort of thing."

While he didn't know those particular thoughts of Kennedys, he would have whole heartedly agreed. He loathed when people didn't play along, when his tricks and games were met with indifference or disinterest. Then again, those people always became serious targets for much less friendly games afterward. "Well good to know you don't. Not that I was going to stop screwing with them regardless." he shrugged and began going back through his motions, talking with him while he distracted and pickpocketed the dummy again, the buzzer still as silent as ever. "Funny. Had you out for a go fish kinda guy." he smirked.
He listened, admittedly intrigued the more Kennedy explained as most of it was right up his alley, and the rest was, well...too entertaining to consider passing up. "Count me on board. I could use a good long run game to break up the monotony." he half turned to look at him.
