ECHOES, ICHABOD M.

Ichabod was raised in a mostly puritanical home. His father and mother adored their children and encouraged them to lead strong lives full of knowledge and power. “Seek not only the truth but also, all possible false truths,” his father would tell him. With these words heavy on his mind, Ichabod grew to be a thirsty man. A man full of the greed for not only knowledge but the fulfillment of his own agenda. He soon learned that he could use the false truths he found in the world, to gain power, leverage, and trust. All the things a man with a cold heart needed to make deep strides in the world.

He met his wife in the ministry where they both started work some years after Hogwarts. In such a time of battle, it made it hard to find people who supported the dark lord as he did, without making their acquaintance at a death eater meeting. Lucky for Ichabod, his wife had not joined the ranks but aligned with their ideals. The end of the war, however did not go in their favor, and after avoiding the watchful eye of the ministry and the ever growing Order, Ichabod and Archadia settled in, married, and eventually had a child.

Ichabod very badly wanted a son to pass down his legacy, and name. To continue the Echoes line. Instead he got a daughter. A small meek little thing that cried too much. What good was she going to be to him? Of course, the mongrel of a girl turned out to have his thirst for knowledge and passion for learning all that she could. It made her a bothersome child with too many questions he cared not to answer. Her insolence was paid in the pain he inflicted upon her countless times. Those who put their nose where it didn't belong got it slapped off their face, was his philosophy. Unfortunately she never learned to hold in her curiosity where it concerned his affairs. Ichabod thought he could raise the bar of his expectations higher to keep her busy, but she met his challenges and only brought more questions. They have nothing at all resembling a healthy father daughter relationship and truly despise each other in every way. But she is his to govern and if he can't make the most out of her yet, he'll have to do away with her himself.
