Engel, Victoria fin

A well known wealthy Pureblood family the Engels can trace their roots back through history, the family were a long line of Ophiuchus’ and were very proud of that fact. Victoria was the first born child of Edithe and Nathaniel Engel, though the two were rarely present in her formative years as Victoria spent most of her childhood experiences (learning to walk, first words) with her Nanny a dear old woman who Victoria loved very much. She was six years old when her magic began to manifest itself - a late bloomer and her parents rejoiced in the fact they hadn’t created a squib.


On her 11th birthday she like most children her age received her letter for Beauregard academy Victoria was overjoyed and couldn’t wait to begin her magical studies. For once her parents were paying attention to her – filling her head with stories of their youth and which professors to look out for. However their joy turned to disappointment when they found which house she’d had been sorted into. Victoria was the first person in fifty generations to be sorted into a different house – it was a close call she had told them timidly, but the sorting favored the house of the brave over the house of the cunning.


The letters they sent became few and pushier in nature as she progressed through the school. If they’re daughter wasn’t in Ophiuchus then she would be the best she could be regardless of how it affected her perfection was pivotal for success. Victoria found it hard at first to fit in, she was bossy and her privilege would sometimes show – which led to some interesting situations. However, after a few false starts she finally found her place and made a good group of friends.

During Victorias second year her sister began her schooling and much like herself was sorted into a different house. Deciding that Vivi did not deserve the treatment her parents gave her became very protective of her sister and encouraged her to do whatever she wanted to do- not what her parents expected of her and for this Victoria took all of their harsh words and criticisms. 

Years later Victoria’s in her final year of school ready to start her exams and choose a career path the stakes are high and the pressure is on but she’s determined to do whatever it takes to achieve her dreams.
