Classes had finished for the day, and Nicolae was cleaning up after his last exuberant teaching. Papers were everywhere, his chair was atop his desk, and he couldn't quite recall what he'd been saying that had require that. But nonetheless, he had to tidy up, or someone would come along and tidy his things up themselves, and that was not going to happen, thank you very much. And by someone, he meant Pierce. And by Pierce, he meant that robotic, cleaning machine who looked like a man. Nico had no idea why of course, but he simply could not find it in him to put trust into that man. There was something deeply off about him. He muttered and mumbled as he looked through the papers, and wiped clean the blackboard. It was nearing the full moon, and that always tended to get him in a frenzy. Not in a bad way of course. His 'affliction' or 'condition' as many people liked to call it, was a very honored gift to him, and his ancestors. He had informed Kasch of it of course. Quite openly in fact as it was something, though many frowned upon it, he was proud of. He was given the job anyway, so long as he assured the headmaster no harm would come to anyone during his changes. Nicolae would never of course, and he was mildly insulted at the thought in general. He didn't have it in him to harm a housefly much less a person. "We'll have a grand old time soon enough, my friend. The thrill of the chase! Changing like the tides at your will, ever a lucky man am I. " he chortled to himself as he looked out the window. Was often he talked to the moon, in a manner one would talk to and old friend. "But first you see, I've the matter of cleaning up to do. Nasty business, this. Tidying. It's wretched as a boggarts hind end I tell you. I enjoy my messes. They're organized! A nice little pile of chaos here and there. I can't find a thing when it's all.....neatly tucked and stacked. How could anyone? Like that toaster next door. David. No human being, be it wizard or not is that clean. Something wrong with that one I tell you. Can't put my finger on it." he ranted on at the moon as he stacked his papers distastefully and set the chair on the stone floor. He then promptly sat and kicked his feet on his desk, steeping his fingers in thought. Thought turned to wonder, and wonder turned to lethargy, and soon enough though he maintained his thoughtful pose facing the window, he was out like a light, dreaming of his beloved Romania. Then, as though pinpricked, his ears caught a sound, quiet, but right in his doorway. He didn't move, nor did he speak, he simply waited for his guest to announce themselves.

Rhianna was not entirely sure what was going on between Kasch and herself. There was no complaint from her about it either way, she was most certainly enjoying her long nights spent with the Headmaster. Sometimes it was her room, sometimes it was his room, but either way they kept it mostly a secret between the two of them. He did not want Beau to know about it and she was not inclined to overstep herself in anyway. So it was a secret for now, and lucky for them, the spots he bit at her was where her tattoos covered her neck, so it was barely noticeable.
Between that and finally figuring out what to buy Carwyn for Christmas, she had been in a better mood. More so than most people had seen her in in a long time. She even wore shorter sleeves. While she still was not completely comfortable with people knowing about the level of abuse she went through, she was becoming more...okay with her past? She was not sure that that was the right word but it was close enough to how she was feeling. Accepting, maybe?
Now all she had to do was figure out something to get Kasch for Christmas. Maybe she would just make tamales like she joked about.
Somehow her train of thought took over and she did not really realise where she was going until she noticed she was in the hall near the Ancient Runes class. It was where she had been headed, she just had not noticed that she was already in the area. She turned into his doorway and stopped as she saw that Nicolae was lost in thought, staring out the window. Not sure if she should interrupt him or not, she waited a moment until she could see in the slight change of his posture that he knew she was there. "Mr. Pippindorio, I'm terribly sorry to intrude on you...is this a bad time?"

Nicolae had waited, and waited, and waited some more until finally a voice rang out and he smirked, spinning around grandly in his chair. "Not at all Ms. Berkley! I was just enjoying the momentary silence before the toaster got up to his nightly scrubbing of imaginary things." he grinned and stood up, gesturing her inside as he grabbed his pipe, lighting the end of it with his wand as the smell of cherry tobacco filled the room, the magical seal on his room keeping it from filtering out into the rest of the castle and safely and politely out the window.
"What can I do for you this loverly evening. IT's almost the full moon you know." He smiled cheerfully, then tilted his head, gesturing toward her own with his pipe. "You've got something on your mind, my dear. I can see it there, fuzzing up your train of thought. Nasty things, loose thoughts. Always mucking the place up."
